Mother’s Day Memory Box

A Mother’s Day gift box/memory box every mother will love!

Instructions

To Create the Flower & Leaves:

  1. Cut and emboss flowers from the Blush Blossom Cardstock and leaves from the Old Olive Cardstock.
  2. Sponge flower with Raisin dye pad, and airbrush leaves with Copic Markers.
  3. When dry, curl flower petals and crinkle leaves to achieve desired dimensional effect.
  4. Layer flower die cuts and adhere together using Glue Dots.
  5. Glue button in flower center.
  6. Set flower and leaves aside
To Create the Box:
  1. Paint box inside and out with olive acrylic paint, let dry.
  2. Measure all sides of the box and cover with embossed cardstock, cut to size.
  3. Sponge edges to define edges and create distressed look.
  4. Cut letters using Gold Foil and Spellbinders Julius Font Templates.
  5. Tie Gold Cord in bow.
  6. Use additional gold cord to stitch around the edge of pre-cut scalloped oval tag.
  7. Adhere Gold Letters to stitched tag and adhere to box using Beacon Advanced Craft Glue.
  8. Slightly overlap the bottom edges of the leaves and adhere to box to the left of the tag as show.
  9. Use Glue Dots or Advanced Craft Glue to adhere flower over leaves to complete assembly as shown.
