Easter Egg Trio egg

Materials

  • The Dow Chemical Company STYROFOAM 1⁄2” x 4” Eggs, three
  • The Vintage Workshop Click-n-Craft™ CD-Rom Creative Cardmaking in
    Days We Celebrate—Bunny and Chick Images
  • Duncan Aleene’s Instant Decoupage Medium
  • Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry Paper Adhesive
  • 8-1⁄2” x 11” piece of cream cardstock
  • Paper scrapbook flowers, rickrack, three different colors of ultrafine glitter,
    two colors of seam binding tape or ribbon, scissors, package of corsage pins, paintbrush, pencil, personal computer, color printer

Instructions

Note: These instructions are to create one egg. Repeat to create all three.
  1. Load Vintage Workshop CD-Rom into your computer. Print image onto cardstock using the color printer, making sure to size image to fit onto front of Egg. Cut around image into a circle or oval shape.
  2. Place image onto front of egg and trace around using the pencil. Using pencil eraser, gently press into egg, indenting and creating a recessed area for image.
  3. Apply one coat of Decoupage Medium onto Egg using the paintbrush. Immediately apply glitter onto egg and shake off excess. Let glitter dry completely.
  4. Adhere image inside of recessed area. Using Paper Adhesive, adhere the rickrack around outside of egg.
  5. Tie two seam bindings into bow. Cut one 6” length of seam binding and fold in half. Attach folded seam binding and bow to top of egg with a corsage pin.
  6. Attach three flowers directly below image using the corsage pins.
