	Uncle Sam & Peace Dove With his flag flying high beside him, Uncle Sam is riding his faithful Peace Dove, spreading the word of peace and freedom in the Good Ol’ USA! Part 1 of this project (presented here) contains instructions for making Uncle Sam. Directions for the Peace Dove (part 2) will appear in our October 2006 issue.
	Slice of America The first things that come to my mind when summer is approaching are hot weather, watermelons, and the 4th of July, hence my inspiration for this design. I hope you will enjoy it on the center of your table.
	Sam Turning Here’s a great example of flea market folk art! An antique wood turning makes an ideal Uncle Sam, just the right size to tuck in your favorite old basket or bowl.
	Primitive Uncle Sam A salute to the summer holidays can come in any shape or style. Invite our honorary Uncle Sam to your next Fourth-of-July celebration. Sew a hanger onto the back to display on a door, wall, cabinet, etc...or place in a wreath.
	Folk Art Garden Pots Our trio of garden pots has as much character as a charming country retreat, thanks to these custom wool wraps. Our motifs are patriotic in spirit, but you could just as easily stitch herbs or florals with coordinating wools and threads.
	Hooked Flag Shield Patriots unite! I believe a love of country is embedded in every rug hooker’s heart. This shield wall hanging hooks up very quickly and the ticking binding adds a nice country touch. Show your patriotic spirit and hook one for your home.
	March With Honor This patriotic piece was designed in honor of the late Peter Ompir, a great American folk artist with a distinctive primitive style.
